Renewable Energy is going to be as big in Cornwall as tin mining was back in the day. We encourage everyone working with young people in Cornwall to recognise the opportunities for local young people to get involved and shape a new and exciting future.

The Future Is Green

In February, team members Ed and Phil attended The Future is Green ‘Transformative Leadership in our new Green Economy’ residential at Bedruthan Steps. It was a great opportunity to explore the renewable energy future that is on the horizon for Cornwall alongside a wide range of industry professionals. Not only did they learn about the innovations in technology all around Cornwall and the importance of social responsibility in green energy schemes, but also considered the merits of different leaderships styles through the medium of Lego!

Overall, it was a unique opportunity to dig deeper into the Green Careers opportunities available for young people, something which Ed and Phil have run workshops about at colleges all around Cornwall. Not to mention the amazing landscape of Mawgan Porth, which is beautiful but still holds the scars of its industrial past.
