Restorative Practice Training for young people in Bodmin
We recently ran a Restorative Practice training day for young people aged 16-25 in Bodmin. This was a 1 day interactive workshop bringing together 6 young people with 2 of our facilitators to learn skills for community building, change making and conflict resolution.
Despite the heat, the young participants engaged at a really deep level, and we all learnt so much form each other as everyone brought knowledge from their own experiences. We worked together to unpick some key pieces of Restorative theory and apply this to scenarios involving conflict and harm.
The young people involved are now committed to using this learning to step up and take leadership within their local community. Some of them will be embarking on internships with RJ Working. As a first project, they will be hosting a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing on Climate and an intergenerational conversation related to this. We look forward to supporting them on this journey.
