New training offer for Education, Youth & Community colleagues
The RJ Working team is restructuring our Restorative Practice training offer to increase flexibility and access for participants.
Restorative Practice addresses social and environmental harms and builds community for preventing these. This approach can build shared understandings between groups and organisations for a culture of cohesion and collaboration. Restorative Practice brings inclusion, equality and diversity policies to life and equips young people with language and principles to strengthen peer group relationships. It is complementary to Trauma Informed approaches and is evidenced to support children and young people’s attendance, motivation and stability through developing and embedding a culture of care.
We have a new 1-day Introduction to Restorative Practice based on many requests over the past 3 years from School and College staff, Children’s Social Care and VCSE colleagues. All training is multiagency and takes place online, from 9am to 4pm. Numbers will still be limited to 12 participants to ensure depth of experiential learning. We encourage two colleagues to book together, to support collaborative learning as evidence shows this is more likely to take root in the workplace.
Then we have 3 follow-on options:
1. 2-day Restorative Facilitator Training (together with the Introduction to Restorative Practice this meets the requirements of the UK Restorative Justice Council for foundation Practitioner Training).
2. 1-day Tackling Racism Restoratively.
3. 1-day Tackling Climate Change Restoratively.
Please see the invitation attached for details of costs and dates.
We are looking forward to working with you!
