Consulting Communities through Youth-led Climate Awareness Projects in Redruth Pool and Camborne

Our flagship programme is Consulting Communities through Youth-Led Climate Awareness. We are piloting this in the communities of Camborne, Pool and Redruth. We want to understand what people want to do to build community resilience in response to climate change.

The program spans various projects and partnerships, in schools and the FE college, in community centres and churches, we are reaching out to pubs and sports clubs – everyone is affected by big changes in the weather, impacting wellbeing and the cost of living. We are doing a BIG survey and inviting people to participate in social events in a range of different venues to discuss what steps can be taken locally to fulfil the Town Councils’ Climate Action Plans.

It is a short intensive 7-month programme, which is generating lots of information which we are excited to share back with the communities being consulted.
