Holocaust Memorial Day 2021 Workshops

Times and Dates available up to Easter School Holiday | Live Online | Cost negotiable

Our expert facilitators are available to visit your school in January or February to help you mark Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) through interactive workshops and assemblies focussed on the HMD 2021 theme, “Be the light in the darkness”.

Through stories, activities, film clips, and discussion, we will explore history through the perspectives of perpetrators, victims and rescuers from the Holocaust, as well as contemporary examples of prejudice and hate from within communities in the UK.

We encourage young people to be the light in the darkness, champions of justice in their own schools and communities. Right now, it is more important than ever for young people to have the skills and confidence to reject prejudice and build kinder communities.

These workshops have been developed through a partnership between national charity Protection Approaches and RJ Working.

Protection Approaches is working to prevent all identity-based violence. Their education team are leading experts in the UK on engaging students and communities in the causes of and solutions to all forms of identity-based violence. The Head of their education team, Andy Fearn, previously led on education at Holocaust Memorial Day Trust.
